Promoting Menstrual Hygiene & Management

This project is targeting 6 selected schools (2 Secondary and 4 Primary Schools) in Mukono District with support from Rotary Club of Kampala Nsambya and Candle Light Foundation Uganda advocating for increased girls’ access to appropriate menstrual materials and facilities in Schools to improve their movement, ability to participate freely and self-confidence for the health, education, personal development and dignity of girls and women.  Among the activities include training 40 girls on making re-usable sanitary, 180 training peer educators and 60 teachers on facts about menstruation, Formation of Health Clubs to empower boys/men to appreciate that menstruation is normal and thus create an enabling environment for girls at school.
